The Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS) leads the European Commission's activities in the Defence Industry and Space sector and implements the EU Space programme. In addition to Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS, the Space Entrepreneurship Initiative CASSINI will deploy a €1 billion investment capacity to boost New Space in Europe.
